Currently
Tom resides in Mohawk with his wife Anne, a speech and language therapist, and their pug Chin. Their son Alexander works for the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC and daughter Rita at The Cardinal Cushing Center in Boston MA.

Tom received his Master's degree from SUNY Cortland and has taught physical education in the Mohawk School District since 1981. He has been the head varsity wrestling coach from 1981 - 2004, when he retired from coaching after fulfilling his goal to coach his son Alex through his senior year.
