Kevin was a six year varsity starter and captained four of those years for coach Bill Kays at Mexico High School from 2002-2007. As an 8th grader, he won his first Section III title at 96lbs en route to a 2nd place finish at the NYS tournament. As a freshman and sophomore, Kevin went on to win 2nd and 3rd Section III titles, returning to the NYS championship finals and again, placing 2nd both years. He then placed 5th as a junior but went on to finish 3rd at the NHSCA Junior Nationals that same year. As a senior, Kevin won his fifth Section III title while finishing 3rd at the NYS tournament, becoming the first five-time Section III champion and five-time NYS place finisher. Kevin finished with a career record of 245-19 where his 245 victories were tied for the most in NYS history and 168 pins, second in NYS history.

After graduation, Kevin attended the University at Buffalo as an Exercise Science major and wrestled for Jim Beichner from 2007-2012. Kevin was a three time NYS Intercollegiate champion and four time finalist. Kevin also qualified and competed at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship tournament twice as a sophomore and junior in 2010 & 2011, going 1-2 both years. Kevin finished his career with 122 overall wins, second in program history, and 52 dual meet wins, which was a program record. Kevin was also a member of the NWCA All-American Division I Team in all four years as a starter and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2013.

Kevin currently resides in Mexico, NY with his wife Courtney, daughter Corrine, step-son Sean and step-daughter Caiden. He works as a Physical Therapist at a local private outpatient orthopedic clinic called CANI Spine Center & Sport PT. He is also a very active member in the community including serving as a coach, along with his brother Dan, for the Mexico Pee Wee Wrestling Club.
