So, do you have a game tonight? Any self-respective wrestler will answer, "No, I have a match." In wrestling, it’s never a game, it’s business. From pee wee to college, it’s all about having your hand raised in the end. This sport is a form of holding one down and saying uncle, only it’s called being pinned. It’s also the toughest six minutes of any sport, a street fight with rules and a referee.
In the following weeks you will be able to read interviews and stories about our great sport of wrestling. There will be features from dieting to disease. Even the supporters who help make our sport a success will be spotlighted. I hope you’re entertained and perhaps learn a little.
So how does one learn to be a wrestler? Start young, work hard, and learn those moves. This is a great but painful sport. Yes, the moves are meant to hurt. Coaches teach pain. Wrestling is tough business. Remember, it’s not a game, its wrestling!
