Class of 2005

George Jones, Jr. graduated from Ilion High School after capturing three Section III Championships in 1958, 1959, and 1960. His record over that period was 51-2.

Since 1969, George has given back to high school athletes as a referee in wrestling and football. He has officiated at league, section and state levels in both sports.

Coaches and athletes who have competed in Section III all know "Pee Wee". He is widely recognized as an outstanding offical with a great sense of humor. Despite his stature, he would not back down from anyone. For these qualities and his competence as an official, "Pee Wee" has gained the respect and admiration of all who have come in contact with him.
