Class of 2024

Todd Fallon graduated from Holland Patent in 1981 and wrestled 4 years on the Varsity team. He was the Class C champ at 105lbs in 1980 and placed 4th in the Section 3 tourney becoming Holland Patents first Sectional Place finisher. He went on to wrestle in junior college at Herkimer and placed as high as 4th in the NJCAA regionals.

Todds next journey was joining the United States Air Force in 1986 from 1993 where he continued to wrestle on the base teams competing in many overseas tournaments until it was briefly interrupted when sent to Saudi Arabia in deployment for Operation Desert Storm from 1990-91. Todd separated from the AirForce and NYS ANG as a Staff Sergeant and began his career in media sales.

While back home, the wrestling bug bit him again as he started coaching his son and nephews with the youth program at Holland Patent and in 1998 began officiating for the CNYWOA in Utica. In 2003 he relocated to the Canastota area where he once again began coaching in the youth program along with his officiating. Todd quickly became the vice president and then President of the CNYWOA and asked to be a board member for the newly formed Friends of Section 3 wrestling. During his 5 years on the FOW board, he was asked to be on the NYWAY Central Region Board and in the same year became the NYWAY Head of officials for the State.

Todd has always gravitated to youth wrestling in providing officials for tournaments, fundraising and just keeping the peace. He was instrumental in the growth of youth wrestling both in Section 3 and for NYS culminating in over 1900 high school and youth wrestlers competing at the NYWAY states.

His overall accomplishments include being CNYWOA President for 10 years and is now the current President again, 5 years on the FOW board, 10 years as NYWAY officials coordinator, 16 Class and 13 Section 3 tournaments officiated, 2x NYS Tournaments and 2x State Evaluator.

Even though he is not on the FOW board any longer he still helps in fundraising and events hosted by the board. The 2024-25 season will mark his 27th year of officiating and no signs of stopping. Todd is the father of 2 children raised on working wrestling events. His daughter Ashley and his son Steven, the 2013 Section 3 Runner up at 195 lbs from Canastota. Steven is currently following in his fathers footsteps by also officiating in the CNYWOA. Todd wants to thank the Friends of Section III Wrestling Board for this humbling honor.
