Class of 2025

Treavor started his wrestling career when he was five years old with the Chenango Valley and Vestal Youth Wrestling programs in Section Four. Shortly after Treavor began wrestling, his family moved to Red Hook in Section Nine, where he competed at the varsity level during his seventh and eighth grade years at 96 and 112 pounds. His family moved to Morrisville before his ninth grade year and he continued to wrestle for Morrisville-Eaton in Section Three until he graduated in 2005.

Treavor had a successful high school career, becoming one of the more dominant wrestlers in Section Three at the time. He was a 6 -time sectional qualifier champion, winning two titles in Section 9 (MHALS) and four in Section 3 (class B1, B2, B2, B). He was a four-time sectional finalist and three-time champion, winning his first title as a sophomore. Treavor placed sixth at the New York State Tournament in 2002 and fourth in 2004. He finished his high school career with a 227-17 record.


Treavor continued wrestling at Cortland State, where he was a three-time Empire Conference finalist and two-time champion. This earned him two trips to the Division III national tournament, where he became an All-American at 174 pounds.

When his wrestling career ended, Treavor started coaching at J-D/CBA. where he helped lead the schools first wrestling program in decades. He started out at the modified level during the 2008-09 season, and went on to coach their first two varsity wrestling seasons from 2009-2011. During that time, he was able to bring his team from a 7-10 record in year one to a 11-5 record during the second season. He was also able to coach three individual Section 3 champions.

After leaving Section 3, Treavor joined Frank Fronhofer in Section 2 at Salem High School (Now Salem-Cambridge). He has helped coach 16 state representatives, ten of which were sectional champions for Section 2. He has also helped coach the team to the Section 2 Division 2 Team Title in 2023 and the Section 2 Division 2 Dual Meet Championship in 2025. He continues to coach for Salem-Cambridge.

Treavor and his wife, Laura, currently live and work in Salem, NY. They enjoy watching their three sons, Luke, Theo and Kelley, grow up.
