Owen D. Young (VanHornesville)
Charles Schalk graduated from Cortland State Teachers College in 1948. His degree - a BS in Healt, Physical Education and Recreation. Charles did graduate work at Syracuse University, Utica College, and Springfield College.
Charles coached wrestling twenty-two years at VanHornesville Central School During Those years, he truned out three Sectional Champions and his 1949 team finished second in the Sectional Tournament.
Charles was a wrestling official for twenty years and in 1976 received the New York State Coaches Honor Award.
