Little Falls Mounties
Charley Young is a graduate of the University of Iowa in 1940 with a BS degree. Charley spent twenty years in wrestling at Little Falls, reviving a wrestling program that had been dead for fifteen years. In those early years, the sectionals were always held at Rome Free Academy and the Intersectionals at Watertown high School.
Although Little Falls, under Charley's coaching, were never Section III team champions, they were always in contention and chasing Norwich, Oneonta, or Frankfort.
Tow of Charley's wrestlers captured sectional championships and he had a fourth place finisher in the Intersectionals.
You will see Charley in the stands every year at the sectionals and intersectionals with his interest in wrestling burning brightly.
